In July 2020, 326 more competition announcements were published than in the previous month. July's announcements represent a 6.5% increase in expected expenditure, with a positive variation over the same period in 2019, both in the number of procedures (+156) and in relation to the expected expenditure (+1 509 M €). 45 contracts were reported to the BASE portal less than in June 2020. There was thus a decrease in the number of contracts (-0.4%). However, in terms of contracted expenses, there was an increase (+363 M € ). In year-on-year terms (compared to the same month of the previous year), in July 2020, 2 073 contracts (-15.9%) were reported to the BASE portal, but, as in the comparison with the previous month, in terms of contracted expenses there was an increase of 226 M € (+ 29.8%), than in July 2019.
