In May 2020, 287 more competition notices were published than in the previous month. May's announcements represent a 28.2% decrease in expected expenditure, with a positive change, however, compared to the same period in 2019, both in number of procedures (+47) and in relation to expected expenditure ( +371 M €). A further 2,765 contracts were reported to the BASE portal than in April 2020. Thus, an increase in the number of contracts (+ 26.8%) was noted, however, in terms of contracted expenses, a decrease of 4 M € . In year-on-year terms (compared to the same month of the previous year), in May 2020, less 2121 (-8.5%) contracts and 66 M € (-7%) were reported to the BASE portal than in May 2019.
